Australia Day in UK

Now officially being ex-pats we did the Aussie thing and went to the local Aussie bar, Walkabout, to celebrate Australia Day. (Imagine Dakota on a bad night), 400 drunken Aussies all wearing footy shorts, thongs and flags. A can of VB cost £4.50

Later that night we went to our local, The Eagle (http://www.geronimo-inns.co.uk/theeagle/), with all the housemates for the Aussie menu (rissoles, chicken parma, kangaroo steak) followed by an Aussie themed quiz. Questions included naming famous faces (including Alf from Home and Away) and naming Aussie songs (Jason Donovan, Kylie, Men at Work). We came 3rd!
